The Rockwell Hall Expansion project at the CSU College of Business featured 40,500 square feet of program space including nine new classrooms, a 112-seat grand auditorium, a financial data lab and a student forum. Over 20% of the materials on-site were extracted and manufactured locally. The building material also has over 20% recycled content. Rooms inside the building include wireless technology, LCD projectors, DVD players, SMART Boards, and plasma screens. The financial data lab replicates a trading room to simulate stock transactions using actual market data and stock quotes. The forum is a central hub for students and faculty that includes a coffee bar with café seating and vending machines. This project is LEED® NC – Gold certified.
